See our online "Doctionary" to find more about mental health professionals Maria Braud, MD, and Maria Cruse, MD, Psychiatrists.

Over the course of our lives we all experience problems or difficulties. Even with the help of friends and family we may find that we are unable to resolve them. Some of these problems might include chronic or acute medical problems, changes or conflict with family or friends, marital conflict, divorce, or widowhood, job status changes, retirement, loss of friends, famiy or social support, or changes in mood, sleep, appetite, digestion or energy levels. Members of our team are highly trained mental health professionals who have broad experience in the treatment of cognitive, emotional and behavioral disorders.

OUTPATIENT COUNSELING

The Outpatient Counseling Program provides treatment for individuals who would benefit from therapy once weekly. The number of weekly visits is adjusted on an individual basis according to the patient's needs. This program provides individual, marital, family and group therapy for persons 16 years of age and older by a licensed clinical social work therapist. Referrals for counseling can be made by a medical professional or by self-referral.

GENERATIONS PROGRAM

Generations offers the advantages of intensive treatment while allowing the individual to return home at night. During the course of treatment the family is encouraged to participate in the plan of care. The program provides a safe and supportive environment. Based on our initial assessments and individualized treatment plans the Generations program addresses the specific problems or symptoms which are the most troublesome for each patient. Treatment team meetings assess the effectiveness of treatment interventions on a continuous basis.

Someone you know could benefit from the Generations program if they:

  • Display psychiatric symptoms or behaviors of such severity as to interfere with family, marital, work or social functioning
  • Have failed or are unable to benefit from outpatient treatment
  • Do not require 24 hour care
  • Have appropriate living arrangements
  • Are financially eligible and accepting of the voluntary nature of the program
  • Are medically stable and 18 years of age or older.
