at Thibodaux Regional Provides Total Cancer Care With New Web
Site
In its commitment to providing total cancer care, the Cancer
Center at Thibodaux Regional combines advanced technology with
true caring for the well-being of others. As a part of that promise,
the Cancer Center is pleased to announce its newest element in
total cancer care by creating a presence on the World Wide Web.
The new Cancer Center Web Site, found at www.thibodaux.com/cancer, is dedicated to cancer
patients, their families and anyone wanting more information
about specific forms of cancer.
The Cancer Center web site, which was made possible through a
grant from the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, features
a quarterly cancer topic that will be researched and reported
on from various aspects by the following local cancer experts:
James M. Schweitzer, MD, Medical Oncologist; R. Clay Gould, MD,
Radiation Oncologist; Ann L. Jackson, MD, Clinical Pathologist;
Sandra Knight, RN, MN, AOCN, Clinical Nurse Specialist; Rebecca
Roussell, LDN, RD, CDE, Registered Dietitian and Certified Diabetes
Educator; and Kayla Ann Bates, MSW, MPH, Case Manager. and anyone
wanting more information about specific forms of cancer.
This diverse group of experts will provide well-rounded articles
on every aspect of particular cancers which will be changed quarterly
to provide a large database on types of cancers and their treatments
and resources. The site also allows the user to submit questions,
topics and fill out a user survey. and anyone wanting more information
about specific forms of cancer.
The Cancer Center Web Site is yet another part of the comprehensive
cancer treatment that helps the Cancer Center of Thibodaux Regional
to provide total cancer care to South Louisiana. and anyone wanting
more information about specific forms of cancer.
Thibodaux Regional Medical Center is a modern, 149-bed acute
care facility. As a regional referral center, the hospital offers
a broad array of inpatient and outpatient care for the people
of Lafourche and seven surrounding parishes. Highly specialized
services include Cardiology, Heart Surgery, Oncology, Neurology,
Neurosurgery, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Pulmonolgy,
Obstetrics and Physical Rehabilitation services.
