Community Relations Coordinator for Rehabilitation Center

Thibodaux Regional Medical Center is pleased to announce that Ashley Mahler, RN, was recently named Community Relations Coordinator of its Inpatient and Outpatient Rehabilitation Centers.

Mahler earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Nicholls State University in 2000. Prior to joining the Rehabilitation Center of Thibodaux Regional, Mahler worked in the rehabilitation setting for two years as a nurse liaison. She will be responsible for outpatient program development, acting as a physician liaison, increasing community awareness, and prescreening patients for potential admission.

The Rehabilitation Center of Thibodaux Regional addresses physical and medical problems, difficulties with activities of daily living, and specialized problems with feeding, communication, attention, and self-care. Stroke, brain injury, multiple trauma, joint replacement, amputation, neurological disorders, and orthopedic impairments are diagnoses treated within the rehab center. The Center’s primary mission is to assist individuals in achieving basic skills that allow for independent living.
