Thibodaux Regional Medical Center Recognized as Distinguished Hospital by J.D. Power and Associates
Thibodaux, Louisiana – January 21, 2009 – Thibodaux Regional Medical Center is very proud to announce that it has been recognized for service excellence under the J.D. Power and Associates Distinguished Hospital Program. This distinction acknowledges a strong commitment by Thibodaux Regional to provide “An Outstanding Patient Experience”, and that Thibodaux Regional is focused on providing exceptional levels of quality and caring service. Thibodaux Regional is one of the elite few in the country and the first hospital in Louisiana to receive this honor.
This recognition was determined through a survey of recently discharged patients regarding their stay and comparing the results to the national benchmarks established by the annual J.D. Power and Associates National Hospital Service Performance Study.
The telephone-based research conducted among Thibodaux Regional patients focused on the five key drivers of patients’ satisfaction with their overall hospital experience. Thibodaux Regional notably exceeded the national benchmarks for overall satisfaction.

A celebration commemorating Thibodaux Regional Medical Center’s receipt of the J.D. Power and Associates Distinguished Hospital Award was held January 14, 2009, in Thibodaux Regional’s Medical Mall. Presenting the award to Thibodaux Regional CEO, Greg Stock, and Board of Commissioner members, Jacob Giardina, Dr. Cleveland Hill, Daniel Cavell, Dr. Donald Ayo, and Dr. Jody Plaisance was Kevin Lieb, Senior Director of Provider Programs at J.D. Power and Associates.
