In addition to the Medical Office Building, Thibodaux Regional Medical Center has opened its new Heart & Vascular Center, Women's Center, and inpatient bed tower. This phase of construction known as the North Hospital Project is part of a multi-phase expansion and renovation project designed to bring even better healthcare services to southeast Louisiana.

Other enhancements in the North Hospital Phase of the overall project include a state-of-the-art Clinical Laboratory, Medical Records Department, and Central Plant facility.

The five story, 90,000 square foot Medical Office Building is conveniently located between the main hospital and the Cancer Center on North Acadia Road. The Medical Office Building’s close proximity to hospital services is designed to simplify patient flow and allow the hospital and physicians to more easily meet patients' needs and expectations. Patients will appreciate the convenience of the new building, its beautiful interior, comfortable surroundings, easy access to parking, and so many other amenities.

The Heart and Vascular Center expansion doubles the size of the existing cardiovascular facility and offers comprehensive cardiovascular services. Included in the new Center are three state-of-the-art procedure rooms that offer patients the most advanced form of cardiovascular imaging in the area. The Center features the latest in heart and vascular technology including the Toshiba Infinix DP-i Vascular Imaging System. This advanced imaging system will allow physicians to quickly obtain detailed diagnostic information to accurately diagnose and treat heart and peripheral vascular diseases and disorders. Physicians can also use the system to treat patients during cardiac catheterization procedures to precisely place balloons, stents, and other therapeutic agents. As an added convenience, the Heart and Vascular Center has a separate entrance with a covered canopy.

The new Women’s Center features 12 Labor, Delivery, Recovery and Postpartum (LDRP) suites with garden views. Thibodaux Regional designed these suites so parents and their newborns feel pampered, safe and comfortable. In addition, the Center features the latest technology and has a state-of-the-art Level II Nursery, C-section suite, anti-partum rooms, triage rooms, and capacity to expand at a future date.  The attractive décor coupled with the many new amenities make the Center especially well suited for moms, dads and their new additions.

The new Patient Tower is adding much needed rooms, including the addition of 30

all-private rooms. Thirty more patient rooms can be added in a relatively short period of time. In all, the Tower has a structural capacity for up to four floors. All of the rooms are attractive and comfortable and equipped with the latest technology.
