Thibodaux Regional Establishes Medical Explorer Post for Area High School Students In conjunction with the Boy Scouts of America and Learning for Life, Thibodaux Regional Medical Center has established a Medical Explorer Post for area high school students interested in medical careers. The Post is open to all students grades 9-12 from Assumption and Lafourche parishes. It will meet on a monthly basis, giving the students hands-on experience in different aspects of health care. They will learn safety tips, personal nutrition and wellness, career-specific tasks and participate in social activities to promote group unity. Post members also will participate in community service activities. In addition to providing career experience, the Exploring organization awards valuable scholarships, and the students will have new ideas and appreciations to carry them to the next phase of their education. Membership requires only a $15 annual fee. Information on the Medical Explorer Post can be obtained by visiting the guidance offices at E.D.
