Regional Sponsors New Equipment Purchase for Nicholls State University
Thibodaux, LA, October 26, 2006 – Nicholls
State University officials announced today that Thibodaux Regional
Medical Center is sponsoring the purchase of all new weight equipment
for Chabert Hall, the weight room facility on the Nicholls campus.
The strength and conditioning facility was built in 1987 and is in
need of upgrading. “Thibodaux Regional Medical Center is an
exceptional corporate citizen,” said University president Dr.
Stephen T. Hulbert. “Greg Stock, CEO, and the team at Thibodaux
Regional do a magnificent job at forging relationships geared toward
the betterment of our community.” Hulbert added.
“Thibodaux Regional Medical Center is an avid supporter of Nicholls
State University’s programs. Through partnerships like this one
with Nicholls, we demonstrate our continued commitment to giving back
to our community and supporting healthier living and lifestyles,” said
Stock. “The new equipment will benefit students and all student
athletes.”
Stock will be on hand for the sponsorship presentation during halftime activities
of the Colonels game against Assumption College Saturday, October 28. “Greg
Stock, the Board of Commissioners and the fine staff of doctors and employees
are exceptional in their willingness to get involved at all levels of our University.
Thanks to the leadership of Thibodaux Regional, the new equipment will transform
our human performance area into one of the finest facilities in the Southland
Conference, and assist in athlete recruitment and retention,” said Nicholls
State Athletics Director Rob Bernardi. Additional upgrades to the facility are
currently being considered.
