Plaisance named
to hospital board
Jody M. Plaisance, MD, family practice physician, was named
to Thibodaux Regional Medical Center's Board of Commissioners
by the Lafourche Parish Council. Dr. Plaisance replaces Craig
Roussel who resigned in May.
A native of Cut Off, Louisiana, Dr. Plaisance earned his doctor
of medicine degree from Louisiana State University School of
Medicine in New Orleans. He completed his residency at University
Medical Center in Lafayette. Dr. Plaisance is board certified
by the American Board of Family Practice. Additionally, he is
a certified Medical Review Officer by the American Association
of Medical Review Officers. He is a member of the Louisiana Family
Practice, the Louisiana State Medical Society and the American
Academy of Family Physicians. He is married to the former Susan
Davis and they have three children.
Thibodaux Regional is a modern, 149-bed acute care facility.
As a regional referral center, the hospital offers a broad array
of inpatient and outpatient care for the people of Lafourche
and seven surrounding parishes. Highly specialized services offered
include Cardiology, Heart Surgery, Oncology, Neurology, Neurosurgery,
Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Pulmonology, Obstetrics and
Inpatient and Outpatient Physical Rehabilitation Services.
