Dear
Friends,
As a leading healthcare provider in the region, Thibodaux Regional
Medical Center’s
goal is to provide the highest quality, most cost effective
healthcare to the people of
Thibodaux and the surrounding areas. After discussions with
our physicians and our
Board of Commissioners, we have decided to play a more decisive
role in promoting
healthier living and reducing the effects of disease caused
by smoking.
Therefore, on January 1, 2007, Thibodaux Regional Medical Center
is officially designated a
“smoke-free campus.”
By becoming a “smoke-free campus,” our goal is
to help prevent some of the physical,
financial and emotional problems associated with tobacco-related
illnesses and
conditions, such as emphysema, heart disease and cancer.
We appreciate everyone’s patience, understanding, and
support as we continue to provide
excellence in clinical care and ask you to join our efforts
to promote healthy behaviors
that can protect our community from unnecessary illness.
Sincerely,
Greg K. Stock
Chief Executive Officer
