Trotter Joins Medical Staff
Thibodaux Regional Medical Center is pleased to announce the addition of Michael C. Trotter, MD, to the medical staff. Dr. Trotter has joined Cardiovascular Institute of the South for the practice of cardiothoracic and vascular surgery.
Dr. Trotter earned his doctor of medicine degree from Wake Forest University School of Medicine in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. He completed a general surgery internship and residency at the University of Alabama at Birmingham followed by fellowships in peripheral vascular surgery in Memphis, Tennessee, and thoracic and cardiovascular surgery at Ochsner Clinic Foundation.
He is board certified and a diplomate of the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Thoracic Surgery. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, the American College of Cardiology, and the American College of Chest Physicians.
Thibodaux Regional is a modern, 149-bed acute care facility. As a regional referral center, the hospital offers a broad array of inpatient and outpatient care for the people of Lafourche and seven surrounding parishes. Highly specialized services offered include Heart Surgery, Radiation Oncology, Neurology, Neurosurgery, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Pulmonology, Women’s Services, Behavioral Health and Inpatient and Outpatient Physical Rehabilitation Services.
