Thibodaux, Louisiana- January 7, 2013 –
Sheri Eschete, MT (ASCP), Six Sigma Master Black Belt at Thibodaux Regional, recently earned a
designation as a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality by the National
Association for Healthcare Quality (NAHQ). The NAHQ is a professional
association dedicated to the advancement of the profession of healthcare
quality and patient safety and the individual professionals working in
the field.
To earn certification, Eschete was required to pass a written exam administered
by the NAHQ,demonstrating competent knowledge, skill and understanding
of program development and management, quality improvement concepts, coordination
of survey processes, communication and education techniques, and departmental
management.
Eschete has been employed at Thibodaux Regional Health System since 1984
and has been working in Performance Improvement (PI) for the past eight
years, where she has coordinated, led and taught PI methodologies such
as Six Sigma, Lean and Do-It-Groups (DIGs) in pursuit of healthcare excellence.
