Thibodaux Regional Community Involvement
Thibodaux Regional is deeply involved in communities across the region.
Additionally, hospital-sponsored events bring education, screenings and
some fun to the world outside the hospital. Team members also volunteer
their own time and talents to serve on boards of community agencies and

Thibodaux Regional Teams Up With NSU Baseball to Fight Breast Cancer
The Cancer Institute of Thibodaux Regional recently hosted a visit by the
Nicholls State University Colonel Baseball Team in conjunction with the
Colonels Bat Against Breast Cancer game held May 19 to benefit the Bayou
Region Affiliate, Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
Wearing special pink jerseys sponsored by Thibodaux Regional, the team
visited with patients and staff and signed autographs and served muffins
and juice. The pink jerseys worn by the team were auctioned to the highest
bidder after the game with all proceeds benefiting the Komen Bayou Region
Affiliate. More than $7,000 was raised to fund education, screening and
treatment grants in the Bayou Region.
Thibodaux Regional Participates in Relay for Life
Thibodaux Regional participated in Relay for Life held earlier this year.
More than 200 employees joined in the annual event designed to celebrate
cancer survivorship, honor loved ones lost to the disease, and raise money
for research and programs of the American Cancer Society.
Sports Medicine Center Supports High School Baseball All Star Classic
The Sports Medicine Center of Thibodaux Regional was presenting sponsor
of the FNS Annual High School Baseball All Star Classic. Larry D’Antoni,
Coordinator of Thibodaux Regional’s Sports Medicine Center participated
in opening ceremonies. The event is held to reward the senior players
for their dedication to their respective high school teams and to allow
them one more opportunity to showcase their talents.
Thibodaux Regional Participates in Public Safety Expo
Staff provided education and screenings such as blood pressure, body fat,
and strength grip testing at the Bayou Region Public Safety Expo held in April.
Heart Month Activity
The Heart & Vascular Center of Thibodaux Regional sponsored NSU Basketball
Hoops for Hearts in February. The event was held to raise awareness about
cardiovascular disease and heart services available at Thibodaux Regional.
Participants to the game received free blood pressure screening and body
fat analysis as well information about heart health.
