Thinking Pink Raises Awareness, Taking Action with Regular Mammograms Saves Lives

Mammogram Guidelines:

• Begin screening mammograms between ages 40 and 44

• Continue annual mammograms from ages 45 to 54

• At age 55, women of average risk can continue annual mammograms or switch to every other year depending on preference

• Screening should continue as long as a woman is in good health and expects to live another 10 years or more

If you are not up to date on your mammogram, now is the time to schedule it. Speak with your healthcare provider and encourage the women in your life to do the same.
