Take Charge of Your Breast Health

Recommendations below acording to the American Cancer Society for women of average risk of developing breast cancer.

WOMEN OF ALL AGES

You should be familiar with how your breasts normally look and feel and report any changes to a healthcare provider right away.

WOMEN BETWEEN 40 and 44

You have the option to start screening with a mammogram every year.

WOMEN BETWEN 45 and 54

Should get mammograms every year.

WOMEN 55 and OLDER

Can switch to a mammogram every other year, or you can choose to continue yearly mammograms.

Screening should continue as long as you are in good health and expected to live 10 more years or longer.
