Stroke Care Excellence: Only Designated Primary Stroke Center in a Seven-Parish Area
Awarded by The Joint Commission, this achievement reflects our unwavering
commitment to delivering the highest quality care for stroke patients.
Primary Stroke Center certification is granted only after an in-depth,
on-site review. The Joint Commission evaluates every stage of stroke care,
from Emergency Department arrival through discharge, including imaging,
critical care, rehabilitation, and all supporting services. The review
also assesses a hospital’s commitment to community education and
collaboration with local healthcare providers.
Thibodaux Regional met and exceeded these rigorous standards, earning this
respected designation.
