There are many changes occurring in the healthcare industry today which
are challenging organizational leaders to develop and embrace new skills
and models of strategic thinking. Thibodaux Regional believes continuously
improving and managing change is essential, and innovation is needed to
survive and thrive. As the region’s healthcare leader, Thibodaux
Regional created Innovation Summit ’18 to bring together nationally
renowned speakers to discuss care transformation, population health, innovative
wellness practices, and emerging financial models.
The two-day conference held in the Wellness Center Conference Center began
with opening remarks from Thibodaux Regional CEO Greg Stock, followed
by keynote speaker, Dr. Brent James, former Chief Quality Officer at Intermountain
Healthcare and now Strategic Advisor at Health Catalyst. Stock also shared
the story of Thibodaux Regional’s “Journey to Excellence”
and the hospital’s innovative wellness vision. Other top thought
leaders and innovative healthcare industry experts from across the country,
including Amy Flaster, MD, Assistant Medical Director with Partners Healthcare
in Boston, an innovative 16-hospital system and teaching affiliate of
the Harvard Medical School, and James Elrod, President and CEO of Willis-Knighton
Health System in Shreveport, shared their stories and offered key insights
to assist organizations in achieving excellence in clinical care.
“At Thibodaux Regional, we are deeply committed to preparing for
the future of healthcare. Our success as it relates to the Triple Aim
of clinical quality, affordable care, and a great patient experience has
been nationally recognized, and our commitment to sharing our process
improvements as well as learning from industry experts prompted us to
create this event,” said Greg Stock. “I believe everyone who
attended left with actionable ideas and valuable insight on how to better
navigate the sea of change.”
Thibodaux Regional Medical Center hosted Innovation Summit ’18 in
partnership with Health Catalyst, a healthcare outcomes improvement company.
More than 150 physicians and healthcare leaders from across the country
