Thibodaux Regional Health System is pleased to announce the addition of
Dr. Jonathan Babin, General Surgeon, to the active medical staff. Dr.
Babin is available to care for patients at Thibodaux Regional Surgical
Specialty Clinic located 604 North Acadia Road, Suite 207, Thibodaux,
(985) 446-1763.
A Raceland native, Dr. Babin received his undergraduate degree in Biology
from Nicholls State University. He earned his medical degree from Tulane
University School of Medicine in New Orleans. Dr. Babin completed his
Surgery Internship and Residency at Ochsner Clinic Foundation in New Orleans.
. Additionally, Dr. Babin completed a Fellowship in Trauma and Surgical
Critical Care from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in
New Orleans. He is a member of the American College of Surgeons.
Dr. Babin's areas of expertise include general and gastrointestinal
surgery, intra-abdominal sepsis and infections, trauma, and critical care.
He is heavily interested in abdominal wall reconstruction and intensive
care performance improvement.
According to Dr. Babin, returning closer to home was important to him,
and Thibodaux Regional’s commitment to patient-centered care, modern
facilities, and strong physician collaboration made it the ideal place
to continue his career and make a meaningful impact. He says Thibodaux
Regional allows him to practice high-quality general surgery while serving
the community that shaped who he is, and he is excited to provide comprehensive
