Thibodaux Regional Health System and Southern ENT Associates announced
today a new partnership focusing on a higher level of commitment to provide
leading head and neck, allergy, and sleep care to the region. Through
this relationship, Thibodaux Regional will be the only hospital in the
region to provide 24/7 emergency department coverage for ENT (ear, nose
and throat) and advanced related services.
“Thibodaux Regional and Southern ENT have worked together for many
years,” said Greg Stock, CEO of Thibodaux Regional Health System.
“We have expanded our partnership to provide around-the-clock emergency
department coverage to provide patients with access to timely, specialized
care; improved clinical outcomes through quicker delivery of care; and
peace of mind knowing expert care is available when needed.”
Through this partnership, Southern ENT will also work collaboratively with
Thibodaux Regional to enhance clinical quality, patient satisfaction,
and efficiency.
“Physicians with Southern ENT are highly trained and utilize the
latest advancements in treatment,” added Stock. “Their expertise
in specialized areas such as head and neck cancer and sleep medicine,
combined with Thibodaux Regional’s leading-edge clinical care and
advanced technology, mean patients can receive timely, specialized care
without the burden of traveling to larger cities.”
Furthermore, Thibodaux Regional and Southern ENT will establish a Head/Neck
Oncology tumor board in association with LSU Otolaryngology. The multi-disciplinary
team of physicians will meet regularly to present and discuss tumor cases
to determine the best possible treatment plan for patients.
“Southern ENT and Thibodaux Regional have both been fixtures in the
tri-parish medical community for many years. We are excited to formalize
our partnership as we expand access to emergency care for our community
and continue to provide the highest possible level of ear, nose, and throat
care,” said Jacques Gaudet, MD, Southern ENT.
“Additionally, we are excited and appreciative that LSU Otolaryngology
and Head-Neck surgery has agreed to provide support for our Head/ Neck
multidisciplinary tumor board. This will be a tremendous resource for
physicians and patients as we continue to manage complex cancers of the
head and neck,” added Gaudet.
“Excellent healthcare has to be at the foundation of any strong community
to heal patients not only physically, but mentally and spiritually,”
said Justin Tenney, MD, Southern ENT. “The last few years of our
partnership with the Thibodaux Regional Sleep Disorders Center have been
a great success. We are extremely happy to expand our relationship to
build a better tomorrow for our entire region.”
As the region’s health and wellness leader, Thibodaux Regional remains
deeply committed to delivering high quality, personalized care and bringing
needed services to our patients.
